Laser MLS Therapy

Dr. Smith and Dr. Buckrop use MLS Laser Therapy as an innovative treatment to successfully reduce pain and inflammation – 90% of patients experience significant and quick improvements of their symptoms after only three to four sessions.

MLS stands for Multiwave Locked System, which means two different kinds of lasers are locked onto the affected area on the foot simultaneously. The lasers’ energy increases blood circulation, cell growth, and helps damaged tissue heal. MLS Laser Therapy has the following benefits:

  • Pain- free
  • Session takes less than 10 minutes
  • Positive effects often emerge already within 24 hours
  • Acute conditions might only require one session
  • No negative side effects during or after the application
  • Can be used to treat chronic conditions
  • Non-invasive

This FDA approved therapy can be used to treat the following foot problems:

  • Swelling
  • Neuropathy
  • Tissue injuries
  • Inflammation
  • Vascular conditions
  • Muscle Soreness

New Therapeutic Laser for the Quad Cities

When you have foot, ankle or toe pain, we now have a new tool to reduce pain and swelling. We’re the first in the Quad Cities to introduce MLS Laser Therapy, a revolutionary new way to treat inflammation, fluid retention and ulcers and the pain that goes with these conditions.

I’ve looked into it, and research has shown MLS therapy to be effective in treating a wide range of foot, toe and ankle pain and swelling. This noninvasive therapy can be administered during your office visit to manage:

  • ·        Arthritis
  • ·        Foot and ankle sprains
  • ·        Inflammation and edema
  • ·        Plantar fasciitis
  • ·        Tendonitis
  • ·        Other issues, from your ankles to your toes

So, whether you have a run-of-the-mill sprain or a chronic condition causing your feet to hurt, we can consider the MLS Laser for resolution and healing.

Without getting too technical, this new tool combines several types of laser pulses to improve circulation, which reduces swelling. Reducing swelling typically reduces pain. The therapy also speeds healing of muscle tissue and wounds.

We’re excited to have this new resource to help all patients manage pain and heal faster. If you experience any pain, swelling or sores on your feet, call me as soon as you can. When you come in for your appointment, I’ll look at finding the most effective, gentle way to treat your condition.
